The Herd needs you. This hurricane season has been a particularly devastating one already with Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma and more are predicted over the next few months. A number of Lipscomb students and alumni from the areas where these storms made landfall have been impacted in significant ways. Lipscomb has 23 current students from the Hurricane Harvey impact area and Irma has impacted many more Lipscomb students and their families. Many of you have already responded to this need in significant ways, and your generosity is making an impact in the lives of these families! In fact, response to this campaign has been so great we have continued to increase — and reach — our fundraising goal, as the need for additional assistance has become apparent. We ask that you continue to partner with us in by standing in the gap for the Herd that needs us, and that you give what you can.
This May, a combined team from Lipscomb University and UNA will take on the task of installing new basketball goals for the campers at Camp Shiloh in upstate New York. This campaign, and folks like yourself, will make this much needed upgrade a reality.
Lipscomb's ASCE chapter, is a professional society for engineering students. We are looking to raise money for our education outside of the classroom. We compete with other schools through a concrete canoe competition annually. We must design, build, test and compete in a series of events, against other universities.
This June, a group of students and staff from Lipscomb University will travel to Ghana, West Africa to serve alongside the Village of Hope. Please consider partnering with us as we love, encourage, support, and learn from staff, parents, and children of Village of Hope while developing and continuing long-term relationships!
