You have the power to make a direct impact on these projects. With your support, these campaigns can raise their goal.
Your gift will go directly to the program overseeing the project, who will then fund the project with your gift. Please read the FAQs below to learn more about funding policies.
Continue to help each project you support by sharing it with your friends and family on social networks. This helps increase the project's chances of successfully raising its goal.
Before submitting your project for consideration, please be sure to address each of the points below. If you have questions regarding any of the project requirements, please contact the Advancement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that meeting each of the requirements listed below does not guarantee project approval.
Successful crowdfunding campaigns/applicants must have, at minimum:
A video introducing us (and potential donors) to your project and providing a case for support.
Video cannot contain any copyrighted music or portray any images and themes that are inconsistent with the Lipscomb University mission statement.
Video should not exceed 3 minutes in length.
An established University fund to which gifts can be directed.
A realistic, defined financial goal.
A specific, concise project time frame.
A dedicated project leader who will spearhead project initiatives and work directly with the Advancement Office and USEED throughout the project’s duration.
A completed application including a marketing plan for how you will obtain gifts and donors.
Passion for your project and willingness to gather other supporters!
Complete the online application. Your application will be reviewed by the USEED team and Advancement Office staff. The Crowdfunding Director will contact you within 5 business days of submitting your application. Please provide as much information as possible to demonstrate why you believe your project will be successful.
Each project is evaluated by the USEED team and Lipscomb University Advancement Office based on individual project requirements, objectives, and overall viability. A project may be approved for launch, delayed for possible revisions, or declined for reasons that will be provided to the applicant.
All funds received will be deposited with and distributed through Lipscomb University, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your payment may be considered a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions.
Your donation will be deposited with the Lipscomb University and distributed to the department leading your selected project. Gifts are subject to college policies.
If a project does not meet its funding goal, collected funds may be used to support the current project or other initiatives within the program.
If a project exceeds its funding goal, additional project funds beyond the stated goal amount may be used towards the project. Any funds available after the project ends may be used to benefit other projects within the program.
